Cameron ClarnoThe Clovis East Choral Music Program is happy to introduce our choir director Mr. Cameron Clarno. Mr. Clarno has had a love affair with music nearly all his life. His mother and three brothers are all very talented choral musicians. Growing up in a musical family helped him to cultivate his love for music into a career. He received his undergraduate degree in Music Education from California State University, Northridge in 2003. Continuing his studies at Northridge, he received his teaching credential in 2004.
Cameron has performed with some of the world's greatest musicians in world class venues, including Wynton Marsalis at the Hollywood Bowl, The Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Russell Watson (grand opening of the Kodak Theatre), Eric Whitacre(Carnegie Hall) The Three Mo’ Tenors, Barry Manilow, and Barbra Streisand. As a member of Cal State Northridge’s premier choral group, The Northridge Singers, Cameron traveled to Wales and competed in and won the 2003 Choir of the World title. As a Director Cameron has traveled extensively with his ensembles and constantly receives superior ratings. His ensembles have performed at the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, Carnegie Hall in New York City, St. Peter Basilica in Vatican City, and in 2015 his Vocal Ensemble was selected to represent the U.S. at the World Expo in Milan Italy. Cameron began his teaching career at Providencia Elementary School in Burbank, California. He has taught at every grade level from Kindergarten through College. Now in his 19th year as a music educator. He can't wait to hear what beautiful music and memories this year will bring. |
